Copyright extends to creative work in the
field of science, literature and the arts, irrespective
of the purposes of such work or the methods of expressing

Trademarks
Trademarks are a sign or combination of signs,
which distinguish goods and services of one undertaking

letters, numeric or figurative elements and combinations
of colours, are eligible. If the signs are not capable of
distinguishing the goods or services, then the registration
can be made based on the distinctiveness of their use.
Geographical appellations
The purpose of geographical indications is
to identify the origin of goods in the territory, or a region
or locality in that territory. Geographical indications
provide insights into quality, reputation or other characteristics
of the goods and are an essential attribute of the geographical
origin.
Industrial designs
A Provision must be made for the protection
of independently created industrial designs that are new
and original. While securing protection for textile designs
mainly in cost, examination or publication, care should
be taken to ensure that they do not unreasonably impair
others opportunity to do likewise.
Patents
Patents are available for both products and
processes, in all fields of technology, if they are new
and innovative. Patent rights should be enjoyed without
discrimination as to the place of invention, the field of
technology or whether the products are imported or locally
produced.
Layout-designs of integrated circuits
Importing, selling or distributing otherwise
a protected layout-design or an article incorporated in
integrated circuit is illegal, if performed without the
authorisation of the patent -holder.
Protection of undisclosed information
Common people and lawyers have the right to
prevent information from being disclosed, acquired, or used
by others, without their consent. This is done to ensure
fair play.
