RBC
marks rise in earnings and dividends
The Royal
Bank of Canada, the largest bank of the country has reported high
Q1 earnings. The quarterly dividend was also up by C$1.54 at C$48.10
($1=$1.59 Canadian). Net income was up by 26% to C$734 million
when compared to C$695 million in the previous year. Royal Bank
prices fell 7.3% on the TSE (Toronto Stock Exchange), while at
NSE (New York Stock Exchange) it was up by 89 cents at $30.18.
Furthermore the bank increased its quarterly dividend by 2-38
Canadian cents.
