Message from Chairman, IT Committee for ISA members – August 2004

Dear Members

Welcome to the next issue of IT Harmony. Having dealt with “Disaster Management” in the July issue, I now take you to the next logical step, “The World Of risk In The Organisational Set Up”.

You would be happy to note that the IT Committee has initiated steps to provide practical content through conferences/ seminars/ workshops. The Conference on “CA & IT – Vision, Goals & Strategies” held at Pune on August 6-7, 2004 was a grand success. The Workshop on “IS Audit – A Practical Approach & CAAT” conducted at Delhi on July 17, 2004 was very well received. The next IT Conference scheduled on September 11-12, 2004 at Pune will focus on “Emerging IT Applications & Trends for Technology Accountants”. Announcements about forthcoming practical training sessions continue to be hosted from time to time. The revamped ISA prospectus is now available. A significant addition though is the FAQ booklet that answers most queries.

Two other exciting developments are (a) CAAT Resources CD consisting of CAAT Tools and related materials being provided to all ISA members and ISA Syllabus and materials being revised/ revamped for ISA Batches beginning January 1, 2005
