Online…

Adults learn differently. To read, understand and retain a 500-page book is difficult for them. They learn best if the material is given in a capsule form and it does not require more than 10 minutes to understand a topic. We have gone one step further by mapping the material to a relevant question and answering the question through a page of content.

Our online study material will pose 30 questions to you to answer. This will initialise the learning process. On submission, you will get the answer with a facility to “read more” on each topic. This opens a page of explanation, giving further details on the topic, at the end of which you would have learnt something. Next time when you take the test, you will get another question paper, randomised from our database. The online system makes your study unstructured and helps you learn at your own pace. Thus, taking this test would tremendously improve your confidence levels.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has engaged us under the supervision and guidance of the IT Committee to bring ISA Related Material.

A unique feature of the content is the special emphasis given, wherever possible, to the following aspects –

• Concept – Gives a thorough understanding of the concept
• Security – Delves into various aspects of security
• Control – Provides check lists for implementing appropriate controls
• Audit – Provides the approach and framework for auditing information systems

The other interesting feature is mapping of each page of content to a relevant question. If you mark a wrong answer, the related content helps you to understand the concept then and there. Which means you don’t have to look and search for it in books to get the explanations. The content brings to you, the “know what” and “know why” of every aspect.

How many are there...

We have created 300 new questions and related content, which are already on the site. An additional 100 Questions & the related Content are ready for upload in the first week of May 2002. You can expect another batch of 100 questions by the end of May 2002. The questions and content cover all seven modules of the course.

First time in Asia…

Finally, for the first time in Asia, study material is being researched, developed and hosted online for the use of Chartered Accountants across the country.

The team involved in this entire exercise includes Chartered Accountants with CISA, IT experts and our editorial board in research and development of study material. Our technology team includes Design and Web experts. Our member service team would register candidates, organise chats, and start threads in the Bulletin board.
