Amara Raja Batteries Limited: Industrial and Automotive Battery major Amara Raja Batteries Limited has recorded revenues of Rs.2173.94 Million (Net Sales : Rs.2145.96 Million + Other Income : Rs.27.98 Million), PBT of Rs.274.64 Million and PAT of Rs.179.06 Million for the first quarter of FY 2007-08. Quarter to Quarter , the top line has grown by 70.09% while PAT rose 90%.

Moser Baer India Ltd: Moser Baer Photo Voltaic Ltd, a subsidiary of Moser Baer India Ltd, has entered into $800 million contract with Norway’s REC Group for sale and delivery of high quality multi crystalline silicon wafers over an 8-year period starting 2008.

Apollo Tyres Ltd: The Board of Directors of Apollo Tyres Ltd, took on record the company’s unaudited results for the first quarter of the financial year 2007-08. The Board also fixed August 27, 2007, as the date for splitting of equity shares of Rs 10 into 10 equity shares of Rs 1 each.

SRF Limited: SRF Limited, a leading Indian player in Technical Textiles, Refrigerant Gases and having operating interests in Packaging Films and Pharma Intermediates sectors, posted a net profit (Profit After Tax) of Rs. 56 crore for the first quarter of 2007-08.

Tata Teleservices: Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd has announced that the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company has approved the issue and allotment of an aggregate of 18,13,393 Equity Shares of Rs 10/- each to the investor/s who have exercised their right to convert FCCBs of US$ 1,000,000 held by them into Equity Shares.

Aditya Birla: The Aditya Birla Group's Cement production for the month of July 2007 rose by 9.13 per cent at 23.90 lakh mt while dispatches moved up by 13.10 per cent at 23.99 lakh mt in July 2007. Mr. Ajay Srinivasan appointed as CEO, Financial Services and Director, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Aditya Birla Group
